Rules for 2009

Rules:
Here are the rules we will shoot by in the Circuit;
They are Modified ASA rules please read:

for complete ASA rules please visit : http://www.asaarchery.com/proamrules.htm

If you  know that you are going to miss any shoot , we ask that you please pay prior for the shoot that you intend not to attend for bookkeeping reasons.

1. ASA rules apply in most ranges, scoring, participation and equipment. All ranges should be within 10% of what you shoot in your class in ASA. We have been asked to address a problem with the use of rangefinders on the unknown ranges. To that problem I have but one answer, no rangefinders are allowed on the unknown part of any club participating in the circuit. If you use a rangefinder at an ASA event on the unknown range you are disqualified and that is the way with the circuit also. The reason is limited space, for if the targets are spaced close together, then it is simple to just estimate what you just shot with the new target you are looking at. So keep your rangefinders put away on all unknown ranges in the circuit!This includes ranging a target after you have shot it, anyone doing so on a desiginated unknown range will be disqualified immediately.

2. To be eligible for the Circuit Championship in 2010, you must physically shoot 2 shoots and you must pay for all 6 plus the Championship. You can miss four shoots and we have at least 1 shoot scheduled on a Sunday . You must pay for all six plus the Championship. Any shoot that was rained out and you were in attendance will be counted as a completed shoot for the championship.

3. 3. Start time will be 9:00 am. 15 targets only, no double point targets (horn) shotgun start 3 hours till (horn) lunch break(1 hour from last shooter) then 15 more in the afternoon 3 hours finish ALL Shooting Starts And Stops with Horn!!!

If you are late, targets you miss you cannot be made up. Although any points scored though will be added to shooter of the year totals.

3. Ties in any class go to the most 12's first then the most 14's after that we will have an unknown shoot off for the desicion.

. You can have a breakdown of 45 minutes with make up during any or both rounds. See Buster or Robin.

IN 2010  15-target total for each round unless the crowd requires a 20 target field

Weather permitting any shoot deemed hazardous or unwise will be terminated by Circuit officials or hosting club officials with the score from the number of targets completed from any prior round being the official score. If no round was completed then the monies collected will be returned to all in attendance with valid score cards.

4. $25 dollar entry fee includes the  Shooter of the Year money class!! All classes from Intermediate to Pro will be accumulating points for every shoot and the most points wins SOY jackpot per class. If you change classes your points do not move with you so stay in the class you intend to shoot .

· Children 12 and under shoot free, .  (no Payback) awards only.

5. Dates for shoots will coincide with ASA and TBoF dates as not to be held at same time. We are the only ASA style 3d circuit in the state of Florida and therefore WE will schedule our shoots to be as close to ASA Pro-AM events that happen so if it happens to fall on a NFAA date we are sorry but we will not change the date of our shoot The ASA dates are already set and we will try to have our schedule posted to try and miss other dates but sometimes this is impossible!

All Shooter of the year awards are based on total points scored during the year and any shooter forced to move during the year by ASA will
not have to move in the circuit until the following year.

6. Classes:

Though we try and keep up with changes in the ASA it is hard to have every class so in the interest of making the payouts larger we have combined some classes that shoot from the same stake. In the last 5 years of this event the number of participants has grown and as such we feel in order to attract more participants per class we need to have more of a class separation. So beginning at the first shoot this year we will offer the following changes in class participation;

Since this is an amateur shoot we must insist that ASA pro and semi pro participants be they Men or Women, have their own class though it be small. All ranges could be off by as much as 10% though we try and keep them below or around the maximum, it is possible for the range to be over so keep this in mind. Some changes for 2010 will now separate classes as follows:

Open PRO will consist of all shooters in the pro and semi pro classes class and now  the Men's Unlimited class. Any shooters that have shot in this top class will be required to stay in this class.  Ranges of approximately 50 yards. All RANGES UNKNOWN !!! positively no range finders allowed in this class Orange Stake, if Orange Stake is not available, then you would shoot from the white stake.

New class for the 2010 season is the Known 45:  this class is for bows shooting at 280 fps any sight any stabilizer: No crossbows or draw locks. Known range out to 45 yards yards.  Range finders allowed in this class , All RANGES KNOWN   Shoot from the White Stake

Womens known 40 is new for this year and will consist of unlimited equipment and 280 fps at a distance of out to 40 yards with the use of a rangefinder. shoot from red stake.

All classes below will  shoot the first 1/2 unknown and second 1/2 known !

the reason for the all classes 1/2 and 1/2 is  for practice and to check out your equipment so if you drive 1000 miles to a contest you know the week prior it was fine,this is the whole reason we started the Circuit.

OPEN A : 280 fps approximately  45 yards, magnification:

Open B: 280 fps approximately  45 yards, magnification

Super Senior  shoots from the red stake ranges out to 40 yards  for shooters 60 and older. As in the senior class this class may be quite small and it is you option to shoot with the Open C shooters to form a larger class for more payout money and Shooter of the Year Jackpot. As in the senior class if you shoot this class and later decide to change to the larger Open C class your points for Shooter of the year will not travel with you. 280 fps and magnification

Hosting club will be responsible for

A. Setting up targets and lanes, in a manner that will be safe for all shooters. Any targets that deem illegal, will be thrown out and counted as a zero for each shooter. At the end of the shoot we will not give out any prize monies until all ranges have been cleared of targets to the satisfaction of the hosting club. Hosting club is required to set up 2 separate 15 target ranges As we some times have had over 100 shooters this is now a requirement.

Other grievances about targets or lanes, is the hosting clubs responsibility.

Also please try to use lanes that do not have field round range markers. This may be difficult. WE are most concerned on this matter for the club that is going to host the Circuit Championship.

B. Needs to provide water on the ranges. Host clubs can Offer drinks, lunch, or snacks at their prices

C. All hosting clubs are rented for the day by the Circuit:

Only shooters participating in the circuit will be allowed to shoot that day at any club hosting a shoot. Shooting of target butts or other non 3-D targets excluded.

However if the club hosting the event would like to forfeit any circuit funds ,they may allow any shooters they like, so far as it does not interfere with the circuit shoot.

If a shoot must be cancelled due to in climate weather and no first round can be completed then all monies will be returned to the archers present, with paid a scorecard. In the event of a fully rained out event the Circuit will pay the hosting club a $100 Rain Check fee for target setup and target takedown.
