The six-target archery range at Johns Island County Park offers targets at 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards. The 3-D archery course is a shooting format in which archers walk a 20-target course through the woods and is set up to simulate a bow-hunting experience.

Advanced archers have the opportunity to shoot targets at various distances from 20 to 50 yards on the flat range with a beginner (or youth range) available as well. Bows with a draw weight of 30 pounds or less are required on the beginner range. Bow hunters and other archers also have a 15 foot elevated platform where they can practice shooting. The tower provides a safe platform for archers to shoot at targets at varying distances in a realistic wooded hunting setting. The targets range from 10 to 40 yards in the wooded area beside the archery tower.

With safety being a priority for all users, archers should be aware that broadhead points are not allowed on any portion of the range and a fall restraint harness is required when using the tower.

The range is not staffed and participants must bring their own equipment. No license or permit is required; however, participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult 21 or over. The range opens at 9 AM and closes at sunset, and it is free for visitors to use.

Established in 1962, Sandune Archery Club is a non profit organization, and the oldest archery club in South Carolina. We offer an outdoor practice range, with targets out to 70 yards, including youth targets, that are NASP friendly

We hold 3D tournaments, which offers you a chance to get ready for hunting season or just to come out and have fun with some old friends or make some new ones. We shoot McKenzie targets, and if you've never shot any competitions, we have a friendly staff that will be there to answer any questions and to help in any way we can!

We also have a 900 shoot once a year that offers a challenge in endurance and long range shooting. We offer food and drinks at all of our shoots!
